SPCC #16 Color Combo Challenge

The color combo for this week was so fun for SPCC - thanks Samantha for such great colors. Here is the color combo:
and here is my card:

This was such a simple and fun card to make. I think I'm enjoying playing with making my own backgrounds more than I am using DSP right now. It's hard to believe. This card used a variety of stamp sets to achieve the backgrounds, the fabulous in-color ribbons (I used the backside of the ribbons), and a fun little greeting. In the coming days I plan to make a thank you card set to go with this card as a birthday gift for a friend. I'll make sure to post my card set when it's finished.

Tips from this card:
-Try making your own printed paper and not using DSP sometimes. It brings simplicity to your card without being boring. And remember - your stamp-a-ma-jig is your friend in doing this!!
-Your in-color ribbon has dual uses - polka dot and solid. Remember that solid side - you have two ribbons in one.

-------------------------------------------------

I used the following product on this card (all product Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Circle Circus (115778), Park Avenue Patterns (114445), On Your Birthday (111664), Lexicon of Love (Retired)
Paper: Bermuda Bay (115317), Rich Razzleberry (115316), Whisper White (100730), Tempting Turquoise (102067), Kraft (102125)
Ink:Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Pad (115316), Bermuda Bay Stampin' Pad (115317), Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Pad (100814), Rich Razzleberry and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Markers (sold as a set of six in color markers - 116329)
Accessories: Rich Razzleberry 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon (115613), Bermuda Bay 1/2" Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon (115610), Tempting Turquoise 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (109038), Round Tab Punch (108340)

Welcome to my site!!

I recently moved to Arizona a couple months ago, and am very happily settling into a new career. I was introduced to stamping over 10 years ago. I've always been into crafts, and picked back up with stamping a couple years ago. I love that I finally have the time to dedicate to my crafts, and that I'm able to share my ideas with everyone. I've seen myself grow in my creativity over the past couple years, and to those who say that they are not creative - don't believe it. Anyone can do this, and creativity doesn't happen overnight, it evolves as you learn more and more about the art of stamping. My husband is incredibly supportive as I put more time into my stamp designs and my scrapbooking.
